Finally a Funeral "George Bush" Can Be Cheered Attending

Had the younger President Bush attended and spoken at Kenneth Lay’s funeral, the crowd might have broken out in resounding applause. This would have stood in stark contrast to Bush’s reception at the funeral of Coretta Scott King where George got the razz-berry treatment. While the son did not attend, the father did. I find it interesting that the ex-President of the United States paid his last respects to a man convicted of defrauding stockholders.

Is that part of the Presidential Pioneer contract? Should one die while Bush is in office our nation’s CEO will send his father to your final interment? Only Karl knows for sure! Now tell me again Karl why President Bush cannot make time for the annual NAACP meeting? Where is the love….

Other Carlyle Group dignitaries attended the service, including ex. Secretary of State James Baker. In stark contrast to our nation’s war on terrorism where snooping and spying are encouraged, the Lay funeral will not allow cameras or recording devices according to the church’s communications director. That the deceased is a convicted criminal guilty of defrauding investors and shareholders is beside the point. Should any other members of the “white collar” criminal element show up, their identities will be protected! That is the way the scales of justice swing today.

Bless Ken Lay. It is a shame he can’t tell us what he is learning having been reunited with All That Is. My guess is he would tell his Carlyle friends to quit chasing after money at the expense of the little man. Ken had the opportunity to learn that lesson here and now, as do we all.
