Bolton Calls Jesus, Ghandi & Martin Luther King “Simpletons”

U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, John Bolton, came out strongly against peaceful methods for world change in his remarks at the U.N. today.

Bolton described calls for a cease-fire a "simplistic" solution to the problem. …this is a different kind of situation and I'm not sure that sort of old thinking, conventional thinking works in a case like this."

Yes, I can envision him saying “Jesus, Ghandi and Rev. King never had this kind of firepower. If they had they might not have considered non-violence as a viable strategy. That kind of old thinking…”

Is exactly what is needed today! Drop your weapons people because you can. The most powerful way to achieve lasting change is via peaceful, nonviolent means. Bush, Bolton et al don’t have the courage to work this way. They lack the will and the means to hold American allies to a similar standard. For this the world suffers.
