Dear President Bush,
I need your able advice on what to do about a leader who claims the authority to disobey over 750 laws. You are a strong proponent of “zero tolerance” for people who break the law. I have also heard you describe our country as a “nation of laws”. So what should we do about this serial offender?
In some states a simple three strikes and you’re out. How can someone expect to get away with 750? He must own his own baseball team! If not, he must make the laws! OK, so he used to work for a baseball team and he signs the laws…often with a double secret Presidential signing statement showing his interpretation
Yes, you are the one, oh slippery tongued, zero-tolerator leader of a nation of your laws, or at least the ones you are willing to follow. Which ones are you willing to break?
