The budget just submitted by President Bush “reflects America’s priorities” and will balance in 2012. Apparently the President doesn’t care about Veteran’s healthcare as he projects cuts in 2009 & 2010 and a freeze afterwards. Where will veterans get the care they need as they return from the Middle East? A Bush spokesman had this to say:
The White House says the long-term budget numbers don't represent actual administration policies. Similar cuts assumed in earlier budgets have been reversed.
The veterans cuts, said White House budget office spokesman Sean Kevelighan, "don't reflect any policy decisions. We'll revisit them when we do the (future) budgets."
So the balanced budget in 2012 isn’t based on “actual administration policies”? Who’s the master and who’s the sick wooden dummy with the knife to be used later?
