Condi to Putin "Cool Down"

America's Secretary of State put on her disciplinarian cap and ordered Russian President Vladimir Putin to "cool down" over a planned missile defense system on his borders. Didn't Condi just visit with him on this very issue? What happened in the mid May meeting and why is Vladimir still concerned?

Could it have anything to do with Bush's heavy handed international policy? Picture Dick Cheney saying the same things the Russian President is about stretching U.S. power and might. The V.P. would get a huge round of cheers from the Council for National Policy or the Project for the New American Century. Yet, those same words spoken by the Russian President are cause for derision. "C'mon Putin, cool down."

I can just picture mental health worker Condi Rice doing an intervention with Vladimir. As the angry man waves a stack of papers, compassionate Condi pleads with him. "Please Vlad, put the PNAC paper down."

"No way Condi, I'm taking it with me to the G8. I think it'll work better than a shoe."

Meanwhile incurious George will lecture Vladimir on his regressions regarding democracy while ignoring the Noah's ark sized keel sticking out of his own eye. It's a good thing the President travels with a large crew. That thing must weigh a ton...
