With his admittance to an inpatient alcohol treatment program for treatment, Rep. Mark Foley is safely tucked once again behind closed doors. As most programs run 28 days, and he has a co-existing condition requiring further work, Mark likely will remain out of site until after November 7th.
Legally, Rep. Foley will be unavailable to any investigators during his treatment time. The facility will act like he doesn’t exist in its effort to maintain patient confidentiality. Once he is released the FBI and other agencies will be able to proceed with their investigations and bring any charges.
My question is the treatment philosophy of Mark’s caregivers? Did he go to a mainstream, reputable, well recognized facility? Or did he end up at a James Dobson “spare the rod, spoil the child” oriented treatment program? Ooopss bad choice of words!
