Republican Chair Mehlman Says for War on Terror to Grow, Requires Republican Being in Charge

How is the United States going to have a War on Terror against 10,000 or so Al Qaeda figures worldwide? Hezbollah has 5,000 fighters in Lebanon while Hamas has 5,000 trained members in its Izzeddine Qassam Brigades. How is the world to have a real war on terror with only 20,000 people to root out? It can’t, so the number of terrorists needs to grow and Republicans have just the solution!

First, they make Democrats look like a bunch of pansies.

Ken Mehlman, the chairman of the Republican National Committee, stressed that argument in a speech Friday at the organization's two-day summer meeting, similar to points made by White House adviser Karl Rove in January.

"America faces a critical question," Mehlman said in his prepared text. "Will we elect leaders who recognize we're at war and want to use every tool to win it, or politicians who would surrender important tools we need to win?"

Second, they go into areas where Hezbollah, Al Qaeda, and Hamas exist and wreak major havoc. As these organizations exist in lands already wrought by decades of major havoc, the U.S. Republicans innovated. They invaded a country without any of the three terrorist groups in order to kill, main, destroy and offend a country of 26 million people known as Iraq. If this did not grow the number of terrorists beyond 20,000 then a more drastic strategy would be required.

Plan T to grow legions of U.S. hating terrorists would be to pick areas recently holding democratic elections and level them. Expose large numbers of innocents to danger from intentional death and destruction and then blame the victims for not cooperating by leaving.

Yes, Republicans are the U.S. party for the War on Terror. They will feed it faster than a Bush budget deficit. Anyone else want to those Republicans to quit gorging on violence and out of control spending?
