New Bush Law Means Some Are “Above the Law”

Nearly a year ago President Bush stated he had “zero tolerance” for people taking shoes, food, and water after a devastating natural disaster. He believes “no one is above the law”. In an Orwellian twist, the zero tolerance President wants to change the law to accomplish just that. He proposes making lawmakers free from prosecution for making illegal laws.

The Bush administration drafted amendments to the War Crimes Act that would retroactively protect policymakers from possible criminal charges for authorizing any humiliating and degrading treatment of detainees, according to lawyers who have seen the proposal.

Here’s the truly sinister part. The Bush cabal want to make the law retroactive! Any past cases would disappear courtesy of his proposed bill. That’s one way to get rid of the U.S. black eye. Tear up the pictures and act as if it never happened!
