According to President Bush Al-Qaida is on the run. In his speech on the war on terror the Commander in Chief quoted Osama bin Laden four times. What he didn’t tell the world about? The news of Osama’s free pass in Pakistan.
The Pakistani military will no longer operate in the area where Osama bin Laden and other top al Qaeda operatives are believed to be hiding, according to terms of what the Pakistan government calls a "peace deal," signed today with militant tribal groups allied to the Taliban and al Qaeda.
This means one of two things, the President doesn’t really care about the terrorist specter he repeatedly quoted or Pakistan no longer cares about Bush’s war on terror. Either way it’s not a good sign.
