Bush Team is Above Oversight

The Sunday morning news shows aired key members of the Bush team ignorant of their most recent performance evaluation. Congress conducts oversight of the Executive Branch and issued a key report Friday on the administrations use of intelligence to perpetrate the invasion of Iraq. The Senate Intelligence Committee concluded Saddam Hussein found al Qaida a threat just as the United States. This contradicts the Bush reason for invading Iraq due to its connections to 9-11.

When challenged by reporters Vice President Cheney and Sec. of State Condoleeza Rice both said similar words.

CHENEY: Well, I haven’t seen the report; I haven’t had a chance to read it yet….

RICE: ... intelligence reports and conflicting intelligence reports all the time. That's why we have an intelligence system that brings those together into a unified assessment by the intelligence community of what we're looking at. That particular report I don't remember seeing. But there are often conflicting intelligence reports.

It’s not the blind leading the blind, it’s the arrogant behind the clueless leading our nation into ignorance.
