Another Bush Drive By

Last year President Bush sped past in a black SUV throwing dust on Cindy Sheehan, the mother of a slain U.S. soldier in Iraq. Where was he headed? To a major fundraiser, of course. The President was able to work this in before cutting his vacation short to tour the damage from Hurricane Katrina from 10,000 feet.

A year later, the plot is a bit less tasty. Cindy has a five acre plot closer to town. Widespread devastation and the killing of innocents came early this year without the help of Mother Nature. From Crawford the President worked hard on a peace plan without ever calling the elected leaders of Israel or Lebanon. However once the peace deal was struck, P.M. Olmert called Bush to say thanks for the free month to bomb Lebanon back twenty years.

The more things change, the more they stay the same.

The Republican Party's big spenders were rewarded with a barbecue lunch with President Bush on Friday at a $750,000 fundraiser at a ranch neighboring the president's Texas home.

The fundraiser was closed to the public and the press, but the Republican National Committee reported that the attendees included 350 people who have each raised at least $15,000 for the party this cycle.

The lunch was at Stan and Kathy Hickey's Broken Spoke Ranch, a 478-acre spread next to the president's home where Bush is spending 10 days on vacation from the White House. Bush addressed to group after an introduction by RNC Chairman Ken Mehlman.

From here our country does not need another Bush drive by. Who will be in his sights next? His track record shows it will be the poor and middle class. Only his V.P. is known to accidentally shoot the rich!
