Blue Dog Corporacrat Throws in with Private Insurers on Health Reform

Two thirds of Americans want access to a public health plan in a reformed health care system. Senator Ben Nelson (D-NE) said he would vote against the public will and oppose any bill that includes a public insurance option.

Ben Nelson joins other Blue Dog Corporacrats as a for-profit health care lackey. Evan Bayh (D-IN), Kent Conrad (D-ND), and Max Baucus (D-MT) are amongst the corporate faithful.

Ignoring public will is nothing new for Congress. For much of Bush's torturous years, 80% of Americans wanted the government or employers to cover more of their health care expenses. No action. Obama's health care deform could add to the pain.
