How full will the Presidential hot tub get as Democrats and Republicans continue to dip their toes in the water with exploratory committees? The latest to signify their intent include Democratic rock star Illinois Senator Barack Obama and Republican roadie House Rep. Tom Tancredo of Colorado. Each plans to fill a special niche.
Colorado Republican Rep. Tom Tancredo, an outspoken opponent of illegal immigration, said Tuesday he will form an exploratory committee for a possible presidential campaign. After making a weekend trip to Iowa, home to the first nominating caucus in January 2008, Tancredo said voters told him other presidential candidates don't share their views. "They believe that there is a void in this race that none of the other candidates are willing or able to fill," he said.
Recall this is the same Colorado politician who suggested America bomb Mecca after a nuclear terrorist attack on U.S. soil. For a preview of Tancredo’s assimilated America read his cancelled speech to the Miami Rotary Club.
Could it be Barack Obama vs O’Bomber Mecca? Time will tell…
