In yet another example of frivolous lawsuits driving up the costs of corporate products, a Manhattan shop owner filed suit against 4 homeless people for $1 million. The poor shop owner catering to the filthy rich will now have to spend legal fees prosecuting the just plain filthy.
How much will prices of their posh antiques have to go up prosecuting people with no home? Karl Kemp filed the suit due to the homeless warming themselves above a heating duct outside his store?
Hmmm, who put the heating duct there? Why didn’t Mr. Kemp go after the building owner for its locating the homeless magnet in front of his ritzy store? The owner certainly has deeper pockets than 4 homeless people...
